Prior to establishing his consulting practice in 1987, Graham Haines worked for the UK’s premier chemical company in sales and marketing. In 1974, he transferred to the Company’s Australian operations where he was responsible for developing markets for new-to-the-world products that resulted from the parent company’s R&D. In 1979, he joined the Company’s explosives division where he was the group product manager responsible for bulk explosives. During that time, he undertook a major revision of the bulk explosives business strategy and participated in a significant cultural change that impacted on the way the Company did business.
Graham has a Joint Honours Degree in Law and Economics from Durham University and a Grad. Dip. Ed from Melbourne University. He is both a Certified Management Consultant and a Certified Practicing Marketer. He is currently a member of the “Tailored Advisory Services Team” that provide manufacturers with advice under the Federal Government’s Enterprise Connect program.
In addition to his consulting activities, Graham has taught marketing and management at a tertiary level and written over 150 articles for specialist press and his own web site. He has also recorded interviews with Business Essentials, CEO Online and Qantas in flight radio.
His new book, “Execution to Die For – The Manager’s Guide To Making It Happen” draws on his over 40 years’ experience. His web site www.planstoreality.com.au contains upwards of sixty articles upon which “Execution to Die For” is based. This is his second book.
